From the dazzling performances in our spring musical to the lively multicultural fair, our students have continued to shine brightly. The year concluded with a memorable graduation ceremony, marking a fitting end to a year full of growth and achievement. Join us below in celebrating the achievements, experiences, and milestones that have made this year truly special for our SGS community.
Spelling Bee | January 2024
Back in January, we held our annual Spelling Bee, where Ali ’25 emerged as the champion, and Ronith ’26, Eden ’24, and Jackie ’27 secured top finishes.
Visit from the Albany Firewolves | January 2024
A few weeks later, the Albany FireWolves visited SGS, sharing valuable insights on time management, maintaining health, and prioritizing academics. FireWolves players Sam Firth, Will Johansen, and Tye Kurtz really inspired us with their passion for lacrosse.
Raymond Tech Lab Dedication | January 2024
To conclude the month of January, the SGS community celebrated the dedication of the newly renovated Raymond Tech Lab, a state-of-the-art space made possible by the generous support of the Raymond Family. Throughout the past year, our students have been thoroughly enjoying the innovative learning environment it offers.

Multicultural Fair | March 2024
In early March, we celebrated our vibrant diversity at the second annual Multicultural Fair. This year, seventeen countries were represented, offering a colorful array of traditions, flavors, and cultural experiences for all to enjoy.

Solar Eclipse | April 2024
During a shortened day in April, students at SGS experienced the solar eclipse. Mr. White and our eighth graders traveled to a state park near Rome, NY, to witness the rare event of the moon completely covering the sun.
SGS Gala | May 2024
The annual SGS Gala was yet again a magical evening held at the NYS Museum, where our community gathered in support of education and excellence. Thank you to our vendors and everyone who joined us for this great event.

Track and Field
The Saint Gregory’s track and field team enjoyed a successful season marked by outstanding athletic performances and strong team spirit.
Field Trips to Boston and Washington D.C. | May 2024
In May, our students embarked on unforgettable field trips to Boston and to Washington, D.C. In Boston, they explored the historic Freedom Trail and visited iconic sites like the Boston Massacre and Boston Tea Party locations. In Washington, D.C., our eighth graders experienced the White House, Smithsonian museums, and Arlington National Cemetery, delving into the nation’s rich history and cultural landmarks.
Launch of the Gregorian Gazette
This spring, Saint Gregory’s launched the Gregorian Gazette, a student newspaper created by our newspaper club. Under the guidance of Mrs. Harris and Ms. Romaniello, our dedicated student journalists have already published two editions – the winter and spring editions – featuring compelling stories and fresh insights for our school community to enjoy.
