Five Great Events for Parents in our Community to Attend
We are always excited to have parents attend events within our community.
Saint Gregory’s mission is to provide your child with opportunities to learn, grow and achieve from a young age. In and out of the classroom, we want to keep your child busy with activities that will challenge them.
Luckily for our parents, these challenges often create special events for our students to showcase their talents. Aside from joining our Parents Association, there are a number of opportunities for parents to join us on campus throughout the school year in the Saint Gregory’s community.
Below is a list of five great events SGS parents can attend, exact dates and times can be found in our school calendar.
The Gala - Spring
The Gala is an annual highlight for the Saint Gregory’s community, bringing together alumni, faculty, family and friends to celebrate the continued legacy of Saint Gregory’s. The evening features a cocktail hour, dinner, silent and live auctions, dancing and live music, creating a joyous and festive atmosphere that strengthens bonds and supports the ongoing success of SGS. Additionally, anyone within our community is invited to contribute by sponsoring the Gala.
Christmas Concert - December
Each year our students put on a fantastic performance for parents and family in our gymnasium on our Loudonville campus. Our Christmas concert is a special way for us and all the families in our community to celebrate the season.
Speaking of great performances – some other events you should be looking out for are the annual School Play and the Spring Concert.
Monthly Masses
Part of what we have to offer at Saint Gregory’s is faith based programs for families that are interested. For parents of students that will be taking part in our masses by receiving a sacrament, we are thrilled to be a part of your child’s journey in their faith. Our masses will typically be hosted by one of our grades in our gymnasium. The dates and times for each mass can be found in our school calendar.
SGS Sports Events & the SGS Sports Banquet
At SGS, we offer various sports, including basketball, soccer, cross country, track and field, lacrosse, downhill ski club, running club and golf club. We always encourage parents and friends to come support our students at their sporting events.
Following the sports seasons, our banquet at the end of the year is a chance for our coaches and athletics department to recognize the athletic achievements of our students. We would love to see the parents of athletes at our school in late May to join us in this celebration.

8th Grade Graduation - June
Graduation at Saint Gregory’s is always a bittersweet moment for the faculty and staff. We are so happy for all the students who are going on to begin their journeys in high school and beyond, but this does not mean that we will not miss them in our school.
If your child is not graduating yet, we will be excited to welcome you back to campus for the following school year in September, beginning with the first day of school. This is always a special day to have parents come by and take some photos with their child as they come back prepared for another year of learning.
